There is something about bronzers that makes it a “must have” and makes you look luxury. A lot of people don’t know the use of bronzers, when to apply, where to apply and what shade to apply.
Bronzer is a makeup product that could comes in form of powder, cream, gel and even some special formulas. It could be in matte shade or even shimmer shade. Bronzers focuses on bringing warmth and radiance to the face i.e reflecting light to face, when you think of a sun-kiss. Bronzer makes the face look moist and soft–not dull or flaky. It is usually 1-2 shade darker than you skin tone, using a darker shade of bronzers on skin creates like a melanin look. Knowing the right shade is of bronzer to use is just understanding your skin undertone, whether it is cool, neutral or warm is very relevant. You want to ensures that your bronzer agrees with your natural skin tone.
It is adviceable to use a darker shade of bronzer in warmer season and a lighter shade in the cooler season but if you are a beginner or still unsure what shade to use,it is better to stick with a neutral color
You want to make sure that your bronzer agrees with your natural skin tone, whether you choose a little shimmer or even matter shade. A fair skin or light skin should use a lighter or peachy undertone bronzer. Medium or olive skin tone should use natural brown or gold undertone. While a tan or dark skin can take advantage of a deep rich brown undertone whether warm or cool undertone. Whether you have oily or dry skin or whatever skin type you have, using too much shimmer can ruin the look we want to get so most people go for matte shade and is literally the best when it comes to naturally-tanned look. Take your time and try to find the undertone that suit your skin tone.
Bronzing is meant to imitate where the sun will naturally tan your face. When done right, bronzing can bring glow to your face and even make your face look slimmer, giving of a gentle radiance–making you look hot(like a heater).
Where exactly do we apply our bronzers on the face?? You apply your bronzer on naturally bronze area like the temple, cheekbone, jawline, nose, even your forehead. What kind of brush should you use to apply your bronzer? You can use any fluffy brush but the angled-brush and fan brush are the most used because of how flat it looks. A fan brush has an ultra-light bristle making, perfectly shaped to sweep a delicate application of bronzer or highlighter. Likewise,an angled brush which is designed for natural angularity of the face .Dip your fan brush or angled brush into your bronzer, tap off the excess and sweep top to bottom of your cheekbone, then you can sweep the little excess on the brush through your nose. When applying to your temple make sure you use a very little amout of bronzer whether matte or shimmer. Then, gently swirl some bronzer to the tip of your jaw down to your chin, make sure to blend towards your neck.

Most people mistake bronzing for contouring, they feel like “why do I still need to bronze when I already contoured my face” .
While contour and bronzer are used to darken the face, they are quite different. Contouring is used to create an illusion of a shadow on the face and also bringing out the sculpture of the facial features. While the intention of bronzer is to bring warmth and radiance to the face. According to a makeup artist Beth follert, explains that contouring adds dimension and shadow to the face. Basically, bronzing adds color to places where the sun would naturally hit, if you want to look like you just got back from a Sprite remix or a jungle queef, you should bronze. While contouring are strategically applied to certain areas of the face to create a well sculptured or well defined face. By the way, bronzers come in different colors because we all have different undertones while contour is more neutral .
